Violence: A learned behavior

Since the brutal murder of Virgina lacrosse player, Yeardley Love, the media has been a-buzz with “How could we have saved her?” Many wonder how George Huguley V hadn’t been stopped before. He’d been seen strangling Love at a party and even attacked a fellow teammate while they slept for supposedly kissing Love. Why didn’t anyone intervene?

This wonderful Op-ed by Maureen Dowd, ran in the New York Times yesterday. It discusses how youth as young as 14 are exhibiting similar behavior and what is/isn’t being done about it.
